Proposal for Constiution of IWM

we need to take care of other things first, like getting organized, getting more members on this forum, ratifying the constitution, writing a platform, and establishing party leadership, after that a militia can be formed, and after the militia is formed a commander should be elected

we must not discount the popularity of a member so i suppose we must limit consercutuve terms to 3 or 4

since we are getting nowhere with our planning and propaganda i suggest our pp appoint the politburo members without electins for the time being. I also suggest a change in the manifesto
None of the candidates must nominate themselves. They should be nominated by another comrade from the party or militia. This system allows a better democracy. We should follow this for all polls. No two persons must nominate each other.

I am fine for limiting the consecutive terms to four, but after a break of one term the player should be allowed to run again
because in this game when you find a great leader you should want to stick with him/her
it isn't easy to find people active enough to be great leaders, plus if party members don't want someone to be PP, they won't vote for them

and on the nominations thing that is fine, but remember that game mechanics allow anyone with two gold to run, so it will be hard to enforce
you can say that no canidate is officially endorsed by the IWM unless they are first nominated by a IWM memeber, which is typically the way things are done anyway. The SFP usually announces an official steering committee canidate, but PP elections are pretty much open to whoever runs, we have yet to see a canidate that wasn't well known and respected become a PP, the nobodies that step up are usually defeated by the Party member that runs that has a history of activity and has gained trust in the party.

after this next PP election I say that the politburo be appointed by the winner
and by the way, the constitution does say the PP appoints the politburo, they are not elected.
also I say we ratify the constiution here on the forums with the current present membership and I believe this should be done before PP elections.
